Truth is such a rare thing, it is delighted to tell it. - Emily Dickinson
Big things can grow
from wee sprouts...
Is there hope for Ted Haggard? Can a person really sow good seed and bad seed? Or was it a bad plant all along?
The liars and deceivers, who speak the speak, but never walk the walk, are they really Christians? Or is it all a sham, a mental, spiritual body slam?

Yes, there are a few truths, and good ones too, sprinkled through the deception of "The Secret." I think the best is that in the twinkling of an eye, you CAN change your mood. You CAN choose to be happy. You CAN choose to love your mate (as creepy, stupid, repulsive and utterly worthless as they are) (or are not, for that matter). The mind IS a powerful tool, and guess what? Modern brain-swelled science with all its energy and tools and tech, don't know much about the all-powerful noodle. Nope, not much, those smarties, do they know about the brain, and what it is capable of, the untapped powers within.
But as powerful as our noodles ARE, they are still not magic. Granted, 100 years ago, some bloke comes across a modern PC, and he is going to think it is magic. What we think of as a Gameboy, a dark ages dude would consider a tool of the devil, or a wonder of God, and yet despite the contrary opinions, it is just a toy, it is not magic, it is not good, it is not evil, it is just a toy that can be used either way.
There ARE things are mind is capable of, that would appear to be magic, if we could but
see it, if we could but tap into it. Magic. Yes, it would appear so.
But it is not magic. Yes, it is a secret, but only because we are so stupid.
Positivity, too, is a good thing. It releases positive chemicals into our noodles. And it can appear to be magic, these positive brain chemicals, and their reaction, our mood swing, our outlook on life. We CAN be happy campers, but we have to choose to be so. We can love that other, but we have to choose to do so, and forsake all others.
Here's a sad fact you probably never heard before: "Marriage is hard work." Loving someone, faithfully, is hard work. Compromise is involved (yikes, did he actually employ the "C" word?), as well as forgiveness. Youch. Forgiveness is hard work, and it is inside of you (it's not a magical cleansing of sin, but only a release mechanism inside of you). Forgive them. Seriously. Do it. For your sake. It is ALMOST magic...
...but that's about as close as you're gonna get. So wake up. Accept reality. Be free.

“How
many
legs does
a dog
have if you call the tail a leg?
Four.
Calling
a tail
a leg doesn't make it a leg.”
