God jumped out of the closet and shouted: "BOO!" and people were so terrified they got saved. God scared them into salvation. Whoops, wait a second, now that I think of it, that never happened. In fact, that's what well-intentioned "Christians" have been doing for quite some time, you know, scare the poor joe so bad he elects to select Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior, Boy Howdy, amen.

I've heard it portrayed this way, you're given a fire-proof suit, and when you put it on, everybody laughs at you. So you smile and say laugh away, I've got my fireproof suit and you don't, and one day, soon enough, all the people get burned up, but not you, because you have on your fire-proof suit. Shazzam, you is saved.

The actuality is nothing like that. This is one of the many scams, one of the very many alternate back-up plans put into place, by someone other than Christ. The actual message was, hey, you under a lot of stress? You weary? Come unto Me, I will give you rest. That was Jesus Who gave that particular plan, not too complicated, just join Him, abide in Him

and you don't have to worry, because you will not be judged, you already possess eternal life. There is no scare tactic involved. Jesus doesn't jump out of the closet hollering "Boogah Boogah Boogah!"

He gives you rest. You love Him. Rest.

But we ain't under the Law! We don't want any of that REST! Rest? You pharisee! You legalist! That Jesus, handing out rest like that, what, was He under the Law? Don't He know we got grace, we ain't gotta need for that Rest, that Law stuff. That's for Jews. You'd think Jesus was a Jew.

Oh that's right, Jesus WAS under the Law, wasn't He? He was a Jew, wasn't He?

Seven times in seven verses, Jesus says: "Abide in me." But people prefer "The Way of the Master," or another method, almost all of them man-made and blessed by a majority of one time or another. Abide in Me. Abide?

Real Christianity isn't tough. You don't need to send a seed. He's standing at the door of your heart, right now, regardless of whatever group has messed you up. Just open the door.
