Author Douglas Christian Larsen's strong voice in DECEIVING THE ELECT BOOK 1 immediately captivates the reader. The author's voice is unobtrusive, yet instantly recognizable as uniquely his own. The author shows an interest in words and putting them together in unusual and enjoyable ways. For instance, on Page 45, I particularly loved the image of leaves paratrooping. Larsen's imagery is his strength and it shows on every page. The plot is intense and very well researched. The hardcover volume is lovely and the cover graphics are sure to entice readers into picking up the book.
